C-13 Contract between SDCC and Wimba
Issue/Rationale
The Wimba Collaboration Suite contract will replace the current Webex contract that allows webinar training capabilities. Wimba will improve teaching and training methods with capabilities that include voice, video, content, webinars, podcasts, and sharing, and will be used as part of a Hospital Homebound pilot. This contract is funded under Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education through Technology with pricing similar to the current Webex contract.
Recommended Action
Approve the contract between SDCC and Wimba as submitted.
Financial Impact
$18,296 for year 1 to be funded through Title II, Part D.
$74,409 total for 3 years, contigent on Title II, Part D, federal funding.
